Passion. Experience. Connection.
I began my private practice in Madison in November 2014 renting office space 1 day per week. In August 2016, I began renting my own space in the Quarry Hill Building and I'm loving my new location!
After having children, I became extremely interested in working with Moms, Dads and Partners during pregnancy, postpartum and early parenting. I recently completed a 2 day training through Postpartum Support International in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Parental health is essential in helping to raise and develop a healthy and emotionally intelligent child.
Continuing education and best practices are at the forefront of my practice, and I attend regular conferences and trainings to ensure that my knowledge base is current and that I'm providing effective and quality psychotherapy. I work hard to practice within my realm of expertise and experience.

I believe therapy can be helpful throughout many transitions, challenges and life events. I focus on individual strengths and consider each client as a whole person. I tailor my counseling approach to your needs and believe it is important for you to feel empowered throughout the counseling process. My clients find that I am compassionate, easy to talk to, open-minded and focused on finding short and long term solutions.
I graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a master’s degree in social work. I have 9 years of experience working as a school social worker and 3 years working in private practice as a clinical therapist.
Outside of my social work practice I enjoy spending time with friends and family, running, hiking, yoga, reading, photography (taking pictures with my iPhone!) and finding new ways to make my daughters laugh.

“Meagan provided a warm and welcoming space for exploring my very scary and emotionally intense feelings during a challenging transition in my 38 year marriage. Meagan was extremely helpful in supporting all of my conflicting feelings and asked honest and deep questions which prompted me to look at my life and my relationships in new and healthier ways. Her professionalism, kindness and openess were of tremendous help to me during a time when I felt very alone. She is remarkable.”
